FinanzBar is designed as a local Windows desktop app for private finance planning. Financial data entered in the app is generally processed locally on the device and is not automatically transferred to FinanzBar.

Basic principle of the app
Financial, household and document data entered in FinanzBar is generally processed locally on the user's device.
These contents are not automatically transmitted to FinanzBar. The provider processes personal data only when users contact support by email or otherwise actively provide information.
When FinanzBar is obtained through Microsoft Store, Microsoft may process Store, license, purchase, payment and device data under its own responsibility.
Local app data

If you contact FinanzBar by email, the following data may be processed to handle your request:
Support emails are processed through Microsoft 365. Please do not send passwords, full bank statements, databases, receipts or other sensitive financial data unless this is explicitly required to handle the support case.

If FinanzBar is obtained through Microsoft Store, Microsoft may process data relating to download, purchase, payment, license, device and Store usage under its own privacy terms.

Recipients and service providers
Recipients or service providers may include Microsoft 365 for support email, Microsoft Store for purchase, license, payment and Store delivery, the hosting provider of this website, the user's own email provider and authorities where legally required.
Local financial data is not automatically disclosed to FinanzBar or third parties.
Retention
Local app data remains on the device until users delete it locally or remove the app data according to the available technical options.
Support data is deleted when the request has been finally handled and no legal retention obligations or legitimate reasons require further storage.
Microsoft Store data is processed by Microsoft according to Microsoft's own retention rules.
Legal bases
For support requests, processing may be based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related or pre-contractual requests, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general technical support and error analysis, and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR where legal obligations apply.
For local app data, the provider does not automatically receive the data and therefore generally does not process this local content unless users actively transmit it.

No analytics or tracking in FinanzBar
FinanzBar does not include its own analytics, advertising or tracking function. FinanzBar does not send automatic crash reports to the provider. Local logs are written on the device.
The operating system, Microsoft Store, Microsoft 365, WebView2 or the website hosting provider may process data under their own privacy terms.
Data security
Local storage helps keep app data on the user's device. Users remain responsible for device security, operating system updates, user account protection, access protection and secure backup storage.
No absolute security guarantee can be given. Loss of or unauthorized access to the device may affect locally stored financial data.
Automated decisions
FinanzBar does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Forecasts, projections, budget evaluations and categorization aids are planning and display aids. FinanzBar does not perform credit scoring and does not provide investment, tax or legal advice.
